This project included the first athletic training air inflated structure in the San Luis Valley area. This structure encompasses about sixty thousand square feet and includes a 200 m NCAA and RMAC competition track. Inside this facility is a turf field with throwing quadrants, LED lighting with photocell to reduce energy use by two-thirds during daylight hours. Rex Field improvements also included removing failing track and asphalt and correcting the subsurface conditions so that new fill could be placed and a new track surface built.
